Engineered Cam Bolts

Alpha manufactures single groove, double groove, and single flat cam bolts.  We also have our own proprietary design cam bolt with an asymmetrical shank that makes thread grooves unnecessary.  By eliminating single or double grooves from our threads, threads are left intact making published clamp load standards easier to achieve.  This patented approach takes the guesswork out of engineering the correct fastener size and offers a foolproof, simpler installation process.

  • More efficient, more robust value-based product available in standard sizes
  • Intact instead of single or double groove threads ensure clamp loads
  • Fastener size not subject to guesswork
  • Fool-proof installation process

Asymmetrical Shank Cam Bolt

The threads of a cam bolt are critical to the development of clamp load for joint integrity. In Alpha’s patented asymmetrical shank type cam bolt, threads are not compromised. All grooves, flats and cuts in the threaded area of bolt have been eliminated and the loose cam alignment feature was moved to the shank of the bolt, resulting in superior joint integrity for this severe duty fastener.

Double Groove Cam Bolt

Double groove cam bolts have been a staple of vehicle assembly for years.  Alpha’s double groove cam bolts offer greater control of groove width and depth for maximum strength and ease of assembly—the result of years of experience in manufacturing, testing, and refining.

Asymmetrical Cam Spacer

In some vehicle assemblies, access restrictions necessitate that cam bolt tightening and adjustments be located on the same end of the fastener.  In Alpha’s patented asymmetrical cam spacer, a unique hex cam spacer was added to the threaded end of its asymmetrical cam bolt, which allows the securing nut to be loosened, the hex cam spacer to be rotated to proper adjustment and the securing nut to be tightened—all from the threaded end of the cam bolt.
